In Accessible Walks
We booked the all terrain scooter from The Lister Arms in Malham for two days. On one day we went to Malham Cove. Dad enjoyed the ride there and back and could get a good view of the cove.
On the second day we went along to Gordale Scar. This was a more strenuous walk so I was very glad he had the scooter!
Both paths were well laid and scooter friendly and being able to take Dad on these walks really was special
The staff at The Lister Arms were also very helpful with supporting us with the scooter

In Accessible Venues
We contacted the caves to borrow their tramper- this was very easy to do and there was no extra charge. The tramper- was brilliant for getting my Dad to the cave as I wouldn't have been able to push him all that way. Once at the cave he transferred to his own wheelchair and we then went into the caves. This was an amazing experience, supported by David one of the cave's guided. Dad wouldn't have been able to take part in this without all the support from the staff. Accessing the cave wasn't easy but it was manageable. Dad could walk up the steep sections and his chair just fitted through some of the sections
