An Accessible Evening Walk for Everyone
Join us for a truly special Dark Skies accessible walk at Grimwith Reservoir, near Grassington, and experience the magic of the Yorkshire Dales after dark.
Led by qualified Mountain Leaders, this inclusive evening walk has been carefully planned to ensure that as many people as possible can enjoy the outdoors. The route is suitable for all-terrain wheelchairs, and participants are welcome to bring their own mobility equipment. Whether you’re an experienced outdoor enthusiast or joining a guided walk for the first time, you’ll be warmly supported throughout the evening.
What to Expect
We’ll meet at the Grimwith Reservoir Yacht Club at 5:30pm for a 6:00pm start, setting off on a 4-mile circular route around the reservoir. As daylight fades, you’ll have the chance to enjoy wide open views, peaceful surroundings, and—weather permitting—some of the darkest, clearest skies in the Dales.
Accessible toilets are available inside the Yacht Club, helping to make the evening as comfortable as possible for everyone.
Warm Up After the Walk 🍽️
After returning from the walk, you’re invited to relax and refuel with a hot supper, including jacket potatoes with a variety of fillings, plus hot drinks and cake—the perfect way to end a crisp evening outdoors.
