We are delighted to invite you to join Access the Dales for a very special Inclusive & Accessible Walk at the beautiful Aysgarth Falls on Friday 13th March 2026.
Aysgarth Falls is one of the Yorkshire Dales’ most iconic and loved locations, with dramatic waterfalls, peaceful riverside paths, and stunning woodland views. This walk has been carefully chosen to allow people of all abilities to enjoy this incredible landscape in a relaxed, welcoming and supportive environment.
A walk for everyone
This is a 4-mile walk along a mainly flat route, making it ideal for people using all-terrain wheelchairs, mobility scooters, and those who prefer a gentler pace. Our trained Access the Dales walk leaders will be with the group throughout the day, offering support, encouragement and a friendly face whenever needed.
There will be plenty of opportunities to stop, rest, chat and take photos – this is not a race, it’s about enjoying the outdoors together.
Why Aysgarth Falls?
Aysgarth Falls is famous for its series of wide, stepped waterfalls and accessible riverside paths. In March, the falls are often at their most powerful, creating a spectacular backdrop for our walk. Whether you are visiting for the first time or returning to a favourite place, it’s a wonderful setting to relax, connect and enjoy nature.
Accessibility and comfort
We have chosen this route because it offers:
Mostly flat, accessible paths
Space for all-terrain wheelchairs and mobility scooters users.
Café and visitor centre
Accessible toilets at the visitor centre
We aim to make everyone feel comfortable, safe and included, whatever their mobility needs.
Free and welcoming
This is a FREE event, open to anyone who would enjoy an inclusive outdoor experience in the Yorkshire Dales. Whether you come on your own, with a friend, or with a support worker, you will be warmly welcomed.
