Access the Dales is excited to announce that we will be exhibiting at this year’s Keswick Mountain Festival – one of the UK’s most inspiring celebrations of the outdoors. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Lake District, the festival is the perfect place to discover new adventures, connect with like-minded people, and experience the very best of accessible outdoor opportunities.

The festival takes place at Crow Park, Keswick, CA12 5DJ, right on the shores of Derwent Water. Festival Village general access is free for everyone to enjoy before 5pm, giving you the chance to explore the brand expo, browse a wide range of outdoor gear, and enjoy delicious food and drink stalls. After 5pm, non-ticket holders will need to leave the festival village, so be sure to plan your visit. You can purchase festival tickets here: https://keswickmountainfestival.co.uk/buy-tickets/

We’re especially excited to be offering accessible guided walks as part of the festival. Our experienced Guide Leader, Jonathan Smith, will be leading these walks on both Friday and Saturday, creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all participants. These sessions are a fantastic opportunity to explore the beauty of Derwent Water and the surrounding area, while also trying out our range of all-terrain wheelchairs.

At Access the Dales, our mission is simple: to make the inaccessible accessible. These guided walks are designed to open up the outdoors to more people, whether you’re new to assisted mobility equipment or simply looking for a relaxed and inclusive way to enjoy nature.

The cost to join a guided walk is just £5 per person, with children under 16 and one companion attending free of charge. Spaces are limited, so we encourage you to book early and be part of this unique experience. When booking, just pay for the adult tickets. You will be asked about children and companion tickets when you get to the basket.

Come and visit us, meet the team, and discover how we’re helping more people enjoy the great outdoors.
