The experience begins at Swinton Country Club & Spa, where you’ll set off on a mile-long journey through the spectacular 17-acre wooded gardens of Swinton Park Hotel. As darkness falls, the woodland is transformed with imaginative light installations, glowing pathways and beautifully illuminated trees, creating an atmospheric celebration of the natural world. Follow the trail through the gardens and enjoy a series of enchanting tableaux inspired by Mother Nature – a wonderful winter experience for families, friends and visitors of all ages.
All-terrain mobility scooters are available to borrow, making it possible for more people with limited mobility to enjoy the trail. There is no charge to borrow a scooter, although, if you are able, we kindly ask for a donation towards the maintenance and upkeep of our all-terrain wheelchairs. You can make a donation when booking your scooter. Please remember that your Luminescence admission ticket must be purchased separately and directly from Swinton Estate.
